Katie is an experienced school leader and was the founding Principal of Callerton Academy, so has had the privilege of establishing a new school from the ground up and working closely with families, staff and the local community to build a culture of high expectations, inclusion and aspiration. Katie cares deeply about ensuring that children and young people in the Outer West of Newcastle receive the very best education, regardless of their background or circumstances. As someone who has worked extensively within the area, Katie has a strong commitment to supporting the continued success and development of schools serving these communities.
